Tesla says Chinese think tank report on its Shanghai production is 'inaccurate'

SHANGHAI (Reuters) - Tesla said on Wednesday that a report by Chinese think tank EV100 that quoted the U.S. automaker's vice president as saying that its Shanghai factory was on track to meet its goal of making 500,000 vehicles this year was "inaccurate".
EV100 quoted Tao Lin, also known as Grace Tao, as giving the figure in an article published on the think tank's official WeChat account on Wednesday morning.
A Tesla representative told Reuters the figure was inaccurate, without elaborating further, but referred to the automaker's third-quarter results during which it said the Shanghai plant's potential annual output exceeded 450,000.
EV100 also updated its article to delete the figure without giving a reason, but retained Tao's comment on the Shanghai factory localizing more than 90% of its supply chain.

Canada regulator seeks information from public on Rogers-Shaw deal

(Reuters) - A Canadian regulator on Tuesday asked for information from the public on telecom company Rogers Communications Inc's planned C$20 billion ($16 billion) purchase of Shaw Communications Inc to check for competition concerns. The deal announced in March to create Canada's second-largest cellular and cable operator has attracted regulatory scrutiny. The Competition Bureau said in August it obtained court orders to advance its review. The regulator on Tuesday asked market participants and Canadians to come forth with information that could assist the regulator's probe on whether the deal will reduce or prevent competition.
